The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) announces an exciting, fresh, and sweet treat for Philippine theater fans: the official cast recording of the hit musical ‘Walang Aray’ is now available for streaming on Spotify.

This highly anticipated release, produced in collaboration with Soundesign Manila, one of the country’s leading full-service audio production houses, allows audiences to relive the show’s catchy tunes anytime, anywhere.

Adapted by Rody Vera, ‘Walang Aray’ delivers a sharply humorous and heartwarming twist on Severino Reyes’s classic zarzuela ‘Walang Sugat.’ Restaged as the highlight of PETA’s 58th season, this musical reimagines a beloved Filipino classic through the lens of contemporary pop culture, while preserving its emotional core and cultural significance.

The album features the vibrant compositions of award-winning composer and musical director Vince Lim. Fans can stream standout tracks, including ‘Front Act,’ ‘Pangako ‘Yan.’ ‘Huwag Mo Akong Saktan,’ ‘Tipo Kong Lalaki,’ ‘Luv U 4 Ever,’ and the beloved ‘Walang Aray Finale.’ 

Along with the highlight of the release: ‘Tumindig at Lumaban,’ a stirring anthem paired with the iconic ‘Bayan Ko’ to close Act 1 with immense power.

For Soundesign Manila, which has been shaping Philippine audio production since 1997, the project was about more than sound—it was about supporting local artistry.
