Film Concerts PH invites audiences into a world of wonder, nostalgia, and adventure with its second independent production, The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli, coming to The Theatre at Solaire from July 31 to August 2, 2026.
The concert was originally scheduled for four performances: opening on July 31 at 8:00 PM, followed by August 1 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and concluding on August 2 at 2:00 PM, giving audiences multiple opportunities to experience the music live.
Following the complete sell-out of all four performances and an overwhelming response from audiences, Film Concerts PH is delighted to announce a fifth and final performance on August 2, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
Presented in partnership with The Japan Foundation, Manila and officially endorsed by Studio Ghibli as part of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Year 2026, the concert celebrates the artistry and cultural legacy of one of Japan’s most beloved animation studios.

Performed by the 83-piece Filharmonika Orchestra under the baton of Gerard Salonga, the all-orchestral program brings to life the unforgettable music of acclaimed composer Joe Hisaishi. Audiences will enjoy more than two hours of live symphonic performances featuring beloved scores from Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, and Kiki's Delivery Service, among other Studio Ghibli classics.
To make the experience even more memorable, every performance will conclude with an exclusive post-show Meet & Greet with Gerard Salonga, giving concertgoers the opportunity to meet the acclaimed conductor, take photos, and enjoy a brief personal interaction.
From soot sprites to young witches, fans are invited to become part of the magic. Audiences are encouraged to attend in cosplay, themed attire, or Ghibli-inspired fashion and to celebrate their favorite film scores throughout the evening.
