Spain Fusion: The Premium Experience has arrived in Manila, offering an exclusive celebration of Spanish culinary excellence. Organized by Vocento Gastronomía—the force behind the globally renowned Madrid Fusion—the event is held in partnership with the Government of Spain. It features a curated lineup of masterclasses, tastings, and live cooking demonstrations led by Michelin-starred chefs and industry experts. The event took place on April 20 at The Westin Manila.
Over the past five years, Spain Fusion—supported by Foods and Wines from Spain—has traveled across the globe, sharing the richness of Spanish gastronomy through its authentic flavors. Now, it brings its superb showcase to the Philippines, introducing top-tier Spanish brands and their finest ingredients to local audiences eager for elevated dining experiences.

This world-class culinary event highlights not only exceptional ingredients but also the artistry of renowned chefs. Leading the lineup are culinary visionaries such as Albert Adrià, former creative director of the legendary El Bulli and current chef-owner of Barcelona’s two-Michelin-starred Enigma; Ricard Camarena, whose Valencia restaurant also holds two Michelin stars; and Chele González, the chef behind the Michelin-starred Gallery by Chele.
They are joined by other distinguished figures in the culinary world, including Fernando Mora, Spanish Master of Wine; Alfonso Fernández, food fetishist and olive oil expert; and Rosa Vañó, founding partner of Castillo de Canena, a renowned producer of high-quality extra virgin olive oil from Spain.

The event comes at a time when the Philippines’ food and beverage sector continues to grow, driven by consumers’ increasing preference for top-quality products that emphasize taste, freshness, and health benefits. By blending local culinary traditions with international influences, the country is emerging as a dynamic hub for gastronomic innovation and economic growth.
Spain Fusion aims to build on this momentum by serving as a platform for culinary exchange, innovation, and collaboration. It seeks to open doors to global markets, foster strategic partnerships, and inspire new approaches to both local and international cuisine.
Beyond business opportunities, the fusion of Spanish ingredients with Filipino culinary traditions offers a compelling boost to tourism and cultural exchange. This collaboration is expected to enrich the country’s food scene while supporting its broader economic development.
“More than a culinary showcase, Spain Fusion: The Premium Experience is a celebration of the shared passion for excellence that unites two vibrant cultures,” said Benjamín Lana, managing director of Vocento Gastronomía.
As the event marks a new chapter for Filipino food enthusiasts and industry professionals, it also paves the way for greater accessibility to the finest Spanish ingredients in the local market. Ultimately, Spain Fusion blends the sophistication of Spanish cuisine with the richness of Filipino tradition—creating an experience that promises to redefine and elevate the local dining landscape.
