Matcha lovers are in for another treat as Merkado’s Matcha Market returns on October 24 to 25, bringing back a wide variety of the beloved green tea to choose from.
At The Matcha Market, everyone is welcome whether they are matcha enthusiasts looking to try a new spin on their favorite drink, or first-timers craving to expand their palate.
From 11 AM to 8 PM, everybody can choose from a selection of matcha such as nostalgic Filipino creations like taho matcha or even a bizarrely-appetizing combination of apple pecan pie matcha.
“We’re all matcha girls at Merkado, so it felt natural to keep it going and turn it into a series,” shared Iña Raymundo-Banzon, co-founder of Merkado Market.
The event not only caters matcha lovers, but also introduces up-and-coming brands who reinvent iterations of the classic drink loved by many.
As Marla Ongtao-See, co-founder of Merkado Market stated: “It really feels like a girls’ girl moment: we’re bringing matcha, we’re sharing our finds, and we want everyone to discover something they’ll love.”

The Matcha Market Vol. 4 takes place at Frabelle Corporate Plaza in Salcedo Village, Makati City on October 24 to 25 from 11 AM to 8 PM with free entrance.
