Lladró and Rustan’s bring together porcelain, pop culture, and contemporary art in a special exhibition in Manila.
In collaboration with Rustan’s, Lladró presents two complementary exhibitions that highlight the richness of its creative universe. One explores the connection between porcelain and pop culture, while the other celebrates the brand’s lasting sculptural tradition.

At the heart of the exhibition is Popcelain, a concept that brings together Lladró creations developed in collaboration with internationally recognized brands. On display at Rustan’s Makati is a curated selection of works inspired by popular culture and reimagined through porcelain craftsmanship.
A highlight of the exhibition is Lladró’s collaboration with Pokémon, featuring Pikachu™ in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. One of the world’s most recognizable characters has been reinterpreted through Lladró’s signature artisanal techniques.

Also featured are Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse™, presented with a playful black doodle pattern that evokes carefree sketches and spontaneity.
The exhibition likewise includes Star Wars-inspired creations, from Darth Vader™ to the beloved Grogu™, alongside Superman™, presented in a limited edition of 500 pieces in his iconic heroic stance.

Each piece reflects Lladró’s approach to transforming global cultural icons into handcrafted porcelain works while balancing aesthetic authenticity with artistic expression.
On May 19 at Rustan’s Makati, visitors witnessed Lladró artists at work as they demonstrated the intricate craftsmanship behind these creations. Artist Silvia Pérez Nebot showcased the delicate process of crafting the small flower held by Pikachu™, revealing the precision and artistry involved in porcelain making.

Another highlight is The Spanish Horse, one of Lladró’s most iconic sculptures and among its most technically demanding works. Inspired by the magnificent horses of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, the piece exemplifies the brand’s sculptural mastery.
On May 20 at Rustan’s Shangri-La, Silvia Pérez Nebot led a second live demonstration focused on decorating this celebrated sculpture. The session showcased the precision, color work, and technical expertise required to bring expression and character to porcelain.
