PROTEGERI, inspired by the Latin word for "protection," launched its two-week exhibit on October 18 at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5, Makati. This remarkable initiative is a collaboration between Ayala Foundation and OFF! aimed at uplifting the Ayala Foundation communities in El Nido, Palawan, and Makati.

Renowned Filipino artists Leeroy New, Vito Selma, and Solenn Heussaff teamed up with local communities and children to transform discarded materials into striking contemporary art. Using salvaged wood, repurposed paper, and various types of plastics, they took everyday waste and gave it new purpose.

One standout feature of the exhibit is a large collaborative artwork created during workshops in El Nido. This piece by the three artists showcases upcycled OFF! products such as spray bottles and sachets, demonstrating the power of sustainability. Vito Selma and Leeroy New also contributed pieces that cleverly incorporate OFF! products in unexpected and creative ways.

The theme of protection runs deep throughout the exhibit, encompassing various interpretations. With the support of OFF! repellents, children are safeguarded from illnesses like dengue and malaria. Additionally, by upcycling waste materials, the exhibit promotes a sense of stewardship for both the environment and our communities.

Funds raised from the exhibit will directly benefit educational programs for students in the Ayala Foundation communities of El Nido and Makati.

“Our purpose is to build a brighter future and create a positive impact. As students are the main beneficiary of this fundraising, they serve as our inspiration, and by advocating for sustainability, we can help turn the tide and build a world where children can grow up safe and healthy,” said Paul Vincent Mercado, senior director of Marketing & External Relations at Ayala Foundation, Inc.

This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to acquire stunning and sustainable art. You can place your bids on your favorite pieces from October 18 to October 25, 2025, through the PROTEGERI auction portal, contributing to a brighter future for the children. All proceeds will fund educational programs for Ayala Foundation, Inc.’s beneficiary communities in Makati and El Nido.
