It’s easy to get too excited and arrive before the doors open. With MoCAF 2026 on the horizon, it’s best to prepare for a long day of art-filled wonder. But before that, there’s a time to unwind and relax.
While MoCAF 2026 officially opens at 6:00 PM during its first day, and will be open at 10:00 AM on Days 2 and 3, the surroundings of Marquis Events Place is a great place to kill some time. From breakfast spots to public art installations, Bonifacio Global City is full of awesome surprises that lurk in every street.
Relax from a long commute
With Bonifacio Global City being accessible through various means of transportation, there’s no denying that it can be tiring for your commute as it takes up a good chunk of your morning.
Thankfully, Bonifacio Global City contains neat gems for your legs and mind to rest, relax, and revitalize—perfect for a day of exploration.
Frequent Bonifacio Global City goers are familiar with Specific Gravity, a 2007 installation by contemporary artist Reg Yuson. A fountain made from a boulder and suspended in the air by steel, passersby will appreciate the serene and natural sounds coming from the structure. The benches surrounding the art piece make for a great way to better appreciate the scenery it creates.
Another water display can be seen is the fountain in front of Uptown Mall. Al fresco diners have a clear view of the fountain, making their dining experience more enjoyable. It’s also a great spot to rent a bike or a scooter, allowing your Bonifacio Global City experience to be more quick, smooth, and convenient.
Nature lovers will enjoy taking a short breather at Track 30th, a public park nestled in Bonifacio Global City. Whether it’s a brisk walk to soak up the sun or a short stop to decompress, Track 30th has plenty of facilities for both visitors and residents to use. It’s also surrounded by numerous dining and drink locations for you to indulge in.
Early morning bites
From tiny meals to full plates, feast on some breakfast delights to jumpstart your MoCAF day. These selections from around Marquis Events Place are sure to fuel an afternoon of art and wonder.
Melbourne-based ST. ALi Coffee is bringing its Australian brews all the way to Bonifacio Global City. With breakfast sets customizable to your liking, there are plenty of hearty options for everyone to go around. Don’t miss out on their coffee, too: brewed to perfection, each sip expresses the deep and nuanced flavor of their freshly roasted beans.
A short walk away from ST. ALi Coffee is Sama Cafe + Diner, which specializes in fusing international flavors. From their inventive Bagnet Banh Mi to their spectacular Loco Moco, you can count on their brunch and rice plates to take you around the world.
It’s also in Lartizan in Serendra where you can experience the world on a plate. Filipino classics meet French cooking techniques on their giant menu—all made deliciously with their organic produce. Their tea and coffee, whether served hot or iced, make you sink deeper into comfort.
Fans of sweet breakfasts will appreciate Dean & DeLuca located at ORE Central. From a variety of freshly made toast, waffles, and pancakes, the chain restaurant is well-immersed in making your day a sweet confection. Don’t pass on their wide selection of pastries, all of which are made with care in house.
As a purveyor of espresso-based and matcha-based drinks, Cafe 32nd St. is a stone’s throw away from Marquis Events Place, and serves Korean-infused flavors in each sip. From their signature lattes to matcha from Jeju, each cup provides a special taste which brings you to the heart of Seoul.
Engage your eyes
What’s wonderful about Bonifacio Global City is how dedicated it is towards the visual arts. From small installations to bigger galleries, there’s a home for each work of art in the city.
For those who want to rediscover great classical artists like Fernando Amorsolo, Galeria Lienzo in Serendra curates renowned artworks that explore the beginning of Filipino visual art. Their immersive gallery allows for a keener and newfound appreciation for the Filipino masters.
YSOBEL Art Gallery, also in Serendra, is for those who want to explore contemporaries in Filipino visual art. Their space allows for newer voices to take center stage, fronting recent and emerging artists as they make their way through the local art scene.
Similarly, MO_Space in Bonifacio High Street platforms upcoming artists in the Filipino visual arts community. You can always get a taste of what’s new and fresh with their two galleries which exhibit new faces monthly. In MO_Space, you don’t get the same experience every time!
