Some songs carry us back to versions of ourselves we barely recognize. For Ylona Garcia, revisiting the music she released over the past decade has become an opportunity to reconnect with her past—not as the young performer she once was, but as the artist she is today.
Her new live album, ylona, so far. (live), features nine tracks reimagined through the perspective of someone who has grown beyond the expectations that once shaped her career.
“It feels like a healing experience, and that means the world to me,” Ylona shares, reflecting on the beautiful and difficult memories that resurfaced while revisiting her songs, including the pressures of growing up in the public eye.

In her earlier years, she admits, she was often more concerned with making others happy than connecting with the music itself. Now, she approaches these familiar tracks with greater intention, allowing them to reflect her own experiences and understanding.
“It became a reminder that people can take things from you, but they can’t take away your heart or your mind,” she says.
For Ylona, the project represents taking back ownership of her story and who she is as an artist.

Among its most bittersweet moments is “o pag ibig (live),” featuring Bailey May. Their reunion brings an early chapter of Ylona’s career into the present, carrying a decade of growth into a familiar song.
The album includes nine live versions: “my name is ylona garcia,” “lie so well,” “space,” “dahan dahan dahan lang,” “o pag ibig” featuring Bailey May, “don’t go changing,” “don’t say goodbye,” “win the fight,” and “entertain me.”
ylona, so far. (live) is more than a return to old music. It is Ylona’s chance to meet her past on her own terms—and discover how much those songs can mean when she finally makes them her own.
The album is now available worldwide on digital streaming platforms via Sony Music Entertainment
