Heartbreaks don't define who you are, it is a turning point in life to realize what matters more—knowing when to stop and prioritizing yourself.
On Women’s Month, we celebrate the life of all the women in our lives, including the girls that live upon our young hearts. The same ones who were not afraid to take risks, to fall, and to face love with all of its insecurities until they realize what it truly meant to grow from that.
HARA, a homegrown P-Pop girl group from Davao, released their pre-debut single ‘My Love’ under Sony Music Entertainment, embracing the beauty of girlhood, vulnerability, and self-love.
Posted last February 25, the song presented a gentle yet firm stance on choosing to prioritize self-love after a devastating heartbreak. It promotes independence and self-worth that are oftentimes overlooked as a girl loves and tries to risk it all.
“The song talks about heartbreak but also about realizing your worth. It's about women learning that not everyone is worthy of their love and that it's okay to walk away. At the same time, we also wanted to show that women aren't just victims of heartbreak: we're strong, we make choices, and sometimes we're the ones who choose ourselves first. The message we hope listeners take away is self-love, empowerment, and knowing your value,” HARA explained.

‘My Love’ is presented with subtle piano chords and sophisticated grooves, indulging listeners with a suave and smooth sonic experience—a mix of confident vocal performance and dance-pop moves.
“The production and arrangement were carefully crafted to match the emotions of the lyrics. We worked closely with our producers and creative team to make sure the sound complemented the story of the song. From the instrumental to the vocal layers, everything was arranged to highlight vulnerability while still sounding polished and modern,” HARA shared.
The piece is produced, mixed, and mastered by Pao Lofranco and Aldy, to raise ‘My Love’ to life from HARA’s genuine vision.
The group wanted to start their creative music journey with an earnest, emotionally resonant, and unapologetically empowering song, hence the release of ‘My Love’ as their pre-debut single. “We wanted our first song to connect with people emotionally and show that HARA is here to speak for girlhood, growth, and strength.”

Hailing from Davao, HARA is a six-member girl group composed of Yani, Blythz, Ai, Ckhy, Lory, and Tashi. The group’s name is derived from a pre-colonial term that means “beauty” and “strength,” two words that resonate with their identity and intention.
The six-piece act is under Unique Music Management led by Paul Widger. “Being the first 100% homegrown P-pop group from Davao under Unique Music Management is something we're really proud of. They believed in our potential and helped guide us creatively while still allowing us to express stories and emotions. Their mentorship pushed us to aim for high quality in our performance, sound, and overall artistry.”
Recently, HARA joined the growing list of P-pop groups under Sony Music Entertainment, lining up with SB19, KAIA, and YARA.
