Moments of Fashion in Queer Opulence

Pride and Bloom spotlights queer creativity through fashion, performance, and music.

Filipino fashion, queer extravaganza, and nightlife royalty collide in one chic affair at Pride and Bloom. In time for pride month, Manila’s stylish set will be dressed in pastels and florals, all converging at Nokal Basement in Makati this June 18. Fashion brands by designer Chynna Mamawal will unveil their respective new collections. Hyping up the vibe are performances by some of the country’s top drag queens and DJs, livening up the mood for one sparkling, spectacular night.

Starting off with fashion, brands to be featured are Wear Casa, known for its flexibility with a clean aesthetic for sports and lifestyle, and Muave, setting simple elegance for dressy occasions with easy to wear pieces.

Drag royalty high is expected with a showstopping trinity. Powerhouse performances are expected with international drag royalty and recording artist Marina Summers headlining the event. A trailblazing force that captured the global stage, Summers brings her lethal combination of high-fashion execution, wit, and breathtaking performances to the stage. 

Adding more glitz and impact are two of the Philippine’s most arresting performers. Matilduh struts as the avant-garde chameleon celebrated for her striking visual storytelling. Salmo Nella sashays as the magnificent talent with explosive, show-stopping energy.

Three of the country's masters of the music decks take centerstage as well. X-Tina Superstar will deliver the high-energy, infectious house beats. Butta B will bring a sleek electronic rhythm to anchor the underground energy. Incomparable, Nix Damn P! will guarantee a transition to an unforgettable sonic journey.
