There’s always a silver lining to be found, manifesting in many forms and ways. This year, that glimpse of hope returns with a vibrant barkada project and original Filipino musical, Silver Lining Redux.

Silver Lining is Coming!

At the press conference for the musical, the cast delighted the audience with a sneak peek performance, culminating in a spirited chant: “Silver Lining is coming!” This marks the beginning of an exciting journey ahead.

Silver Lining Redux revisits the original Filipino musical produced by Rockitwell Studios and MusicArtes, Inc. The show received five major ALIW nominations during its inaugural run last year, including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Musical Screenplay, Best Composer, and Best Actor.

With its comeback this November, Silver Lining Redux aims to reaffirm its deserving status with a powerful message that highlights Filipino talent and resilience.

A Slice of Life

The story follows three friends navigating their high school years, filled with both joyful experiences and significant challenges as they mature and begin to build their own families.

This revived version explores themes of relationships, friendships, true love, betrayal, hope, and redemption. From its original run to now, the musical delivers an authentic portrayal of life’s journeys that inspires positive and lasting change in its audience.

Revival and Nostalgia

Silver Lining Redux spans three generations—the 60s, 70s, and Generation Z—ensuring its story resonates with baby boomers, millennials, and Gen Z alike. In addition to evoking nostalgia through its retro vibes, the musical will address current issues in the Philippines, such as the situation in the West Philippine Sea, along with other topics pertinent to millennials and Gen Z.

With an exceptional cast and a dedicated team, Silver Lining Redux provides a relatable exploration of life’s challenges, creating a safe space for audiences to find comfort in.

The musical will run from November 8 to 17, featuring eight exclusive shows at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Makati City.
