Since its establishment in October 1980, Hiraya Gallery continues to uphold its values as a platform for Filipino artists and creatives to showcase their work, providing a space to connect with new audiences, and transcending Filipino art farther than a traditional gallery setting.
In an excerpt posted in his social media page, Tan is honored and grateful as Belmont Hotel Manila made his debut exhibition come to life, describing that his passion for photography started with travel and portraits, then later realizing that Philippine landscapes was something he “has never really explored.”

“This passion for photography started with travel and portraits. It is only when I came back home from years of working abroad that I realized that landscapes, particularly Philippine landscapes, is something I haven’t really explored. This is how my journey started,” the artist said.
“As a fine art landscape photographer, this is my Hiraya. To have my own solo exhibit, to share and showcase the beautiful landscapes of the Philippines,” he added.

Belmont Hotel Manila shared that Tan served as an accomplished HR executive and entrepreneur, developing his photography practice through the years, and received numerous international recognition for landscape and cityscape photography.
Combining technical composition with personal kinship, his camerawork indulges storytelling pieces to places he encounters.
Moreover, Tan also founded the Montage Art Collective in 2021, an initiative supporting local painters, sculptors, and fine art photographers in gaining opportunities to enter the art scene and showcase their potential.
