The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Market Development and Promotions (DTI-BMDPO) will open its 2026 trade fair calendar with the DTI–Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair, happening February 18 to 22, 2026 at Megatrade Halls 1–3, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. Admission is free.
The five-day event brings together 300 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across the country, offering buyers and the public access to a wide range of locally made products. Organized in coordination with DTI regional and provincial offices, the fair is designed to help enterprises connect with retailers, distributors, exporters, and individual consumers.
Looking Back at 2025
In 2025, DTI-BMDPO mounted ten national trade fairs under the DTI-Bagong Pilipinas banner, alongside selected international trade participations. Across these events, participating MSMEs generated a combined ₱665.13 million in cash sales, booked orders, and ongoing negotiations. A total of 1,774 enterprises took part, and more than 190,000 buyers and visitors attended the fairs.
For many MSMEs, the trade fair program has become a practical way to test products, build brand presence, and develop longer-term buyer relationships rather than relying on one-off transactions.
Focus on Sustainable and Design-Driven Products
Bringing together 300 exhibitors, this year’s National Trade Fair will highlight eco-friendly, design-oriented, and high-value Filipino products. A key feature is the expanded Philippine Sustainability Pavilion, which will showcase furniture, textiles, fashion pieces, and handicrafts made from coconut-based materials, engineered bamboo, natural fibers, plant-based dyes, and native grasses sourced from different regions.
The fair will also feature products made from recyclable and reusable materials, reimagined into functional items for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
Beyond the exhibits, visitors can attend learning sessions on business development, logistics, and environmental sustainability. Daily activities such as craft workshops, product demonstrations, and cultural performances will also be held throughout the event.
Buyer’s Day 2026
Ahead of the main fair, DTI will host Buyer’s Day 2026: Sourcing and Connections, a pre-event focused on strengthening business-to-business (B2B) linkages. The activity is intended to connect MSMEs with institutional and corporate buyers, while recognizing partners who have consistently supported DTI trade events.
Together, Buyer’s Day and the National Trade Fair create opportunities for enterprises to engage both retail customers and large-scale buyers.
Trade Fairs as Part of a Larger Program
DTI-BMDPO plans to hold thirteen trade shows in 2026. According to Supervising Head Asec. Nylah Rizza Bautista, the goal is to build a more integrated system—one that combines consumer-facing events with structured buyer sourcing and networking opportunities—to help MSMEs strengthen their position in both domestic and export markets.
As the first major event of the year, the 2026 National Trade Fair sets the pace for a calendar focused on wider market access, stronger buyer connections, and continued support for Filipino enterprises.
