BINI Jhoanna makes a cameo in the latest installment of the Sari-Sari Stories series.

In its latest episode, The Witness, BINI Jhoanna joins the cast with a special cameo, adding depth and comfort to the storyline of the film.

‘The Witness’ tells a love story that begins with a “pabili po”—an organic encounter that happens right in front of a sari-sari store. 

Jhoanna’s special participation tugged many hearts, offering a sense of warmth within the film—a gentle friend that is always there to comfort you with soft drinks in hand.

“The Witness” is a short film that tells a tender, coming-of-age love story.

This participation highlights the valuable role sari-sari stores play in the lives of Filipinos, a belief Jhoanna also echoes, "Importante na hindi mawala ang sari-sari store. Bukod sa pagiging very Pinoy, ito pa rin ang pinaka-accessible sa maraming komunidad. Iba pa rin yung may mapupuntahan kang malapit sa'yo."

The coming-of-age love story shows how places other than home can feel like one—a place who knows you, understands you, and welcomes you back. Sari-sari stores can be spots like that. Days go by fast and people grow, but their stories remain in the eyes of the store owner who is always there to witness.

The latest Sari-Sari Story follows the budding romance between two childhood sweethearts.

Aside from ‘The Witness,’ Puregold’s series also featured SB19’s Stell in the ‘Ways’ episode and Skusta Clee’s cameo in ‘The Sign.’ This series caught the eyes of many who found relatability in its storylines, sparking discussions online that underscored the genuine part of sari-sari stores in the community we live in.
