The July 10 concert at Samsung Performing Arts Theater expands with a new matinee after the evening performance sold out.

Broadway stars Lissa De Guzman and Allie Trimm are set to take the stage at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater on July 10 for AFTER OZ, a special concert inspired by their time in Wicked. Following the quick sellout of the original 7:30 PM performance, a 2:00 PM matinee has been added due to overwhelming public demand.

Best known for playing Elphaba and Glinda on Broadway, De Guzman and Trimm reunite for a concert that looks beyond the world of Oz. AFTER OZ explores what comes after the roles that define performers, featuring Broadway favorites, original songs, and fresh takes on pop classics in a theatrical concert experience.

Joining them onstage are Farley Asunción & the After Oz Orchestra, the UST Singers, and Mari Dance. Special guest Morissette, who is preparing for her return to the stage in The Notebook: The Musical, also joins the lineup, making the evening a celebration of Broadway, music, and homegrown talent.

The production is directed by Mikko Angeles, with musical direction by Farley Asuncion, choreography by JM Cabling, set design by Ohm David, lighting design by Meliton Roxas, and visual projections by Justin Santiago.

The concert also marks De Guzman’s return to Manila after her acclaimed performance as Cassie in Theatre Group Asia’s A Chorus Line. Her performance drew praise for its commanding stage presence and vocal power. She now shares the stage once again with Broadway colleague Allie Trimm, whose performance as Glinda in Wicked earned acclaim from critics, including The New Yorker.

Beyond the concert itself, AFTER OZ is part of the Samsung Performing Arts Theater’s continuing commitment to bringing world-class artists to Filipino audiences while creating opportunities for local and international collaborations. Since opening in 2022, the venue has become home to a growing roster of major productions and live performances, helping establish Circuit Makati as one of the country’s leading cultural destinations.
