The highly anticipated comeback of Bar Boys: A New Musical is in full swing! Due to overwhelming demand, the Barefoot Theatre Collaborative brings back this hit law school musical for a limited five-week run from October 4 to November 3, 2024, at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.
During the final curtain call of Mula sa Buwan, cast members Benedix Ramos, Alex Diaz, Jerom Canlas, Omar Uddin, and Sheila Francisco took the stage to officially announce the return of Bar Boys: A New Musical. Since its debut, the cast has captivated audiences with their powerful performances, bringing their iconic roles back to life. This rerun has already proven to be a hit, with each performance resonating deeply and solidifying its status as a fan favorite.

Adapted from the 2017 film directed by Kip Oebanda, Bar Boys: A New Musical tells the heartwarming story of four friends navigating the rigorous journey of law school and their aspirations to become defenders of justice. As they grapple with the pressures of academia, love, and life, their ideals and friendships are put to the test, reflecting the challenges many face on their path to achieving their dreams.

The musical features a book and lyrics by Pat Valera, who returns as director alongside co-director Mikko Angeles. Myke Salomon, who composed the original songs for the adaptation, resumes his role as musical director, with Jomelle Era as movement director.
