Agony, fear, and yearning is indeed etched in love. There’s so much to feel when the caged heart starts to tremble in longing.

In a soulful blow of performances, fitterkarma rocked the stage in their first-ever concert at the Metropolitan Theater Manila. They moved the audiences with a deep expression of emotional singing, amplified by the beautiful harmony of The Manila String Machine.

The show was opened by fitterkarma’s long time band friends, Karilyo, who set the stage and hyped up the mood.

Novocrane’s vocalist and guitarist Kai Sevi also added fire to the eerie music as she joined fitterkarma in singing “Aswang sa Maynila”, one of the fan-favorites.

With the first live execution of their latest album, kung tayo ay nasa isang horror na pelikula tiyak ako ang una mong papatayin, the concert felt like a reflection of love that is not afraid to show its flaws.

As they say, sometimes the ugliest parts can make the whole story beautiful.

Hearing the songs live accompanied by an orchestra is an experience to remember. Imagine magic dusted with macabre lyrics, dark themes, and Philippines folklore, that is what resonated during that night.

Just like any other concert, people came in for the music, but some came to find solace in loving desperately. Because there is beauty in agonizing pain where music serves as a pathway to express yearning.

There’s nothing much to wish more with the arrangement of the list as it all aligned well. Every song shined on its own while continuously adding up to the building storyline and pounding emotions.

Despite the out of brand formality of the venue to the band’s style, Metropolitan Theater Manila still gave a magnificent hand in staging the concert with all of its amenities.

Besides that, the show also felt like a community event for many, most especially to Kanibals, the official fandom of the band.

It is a sight to behold while watching them greet and enjoy the company of each other as if finding home in the sea of people through fitterkarma’s music.

At the end of the concert, Joao, LORY, Sophia, and Sanders expressed a genuine appreciation to every hand who chipped in to help in making the concert a reality.
