There are few things more personal than the objects we live with: the plate we reach for in the morning, the box that holds our keepsakes, the table that gathers our stories. For CASA JUAN, these objects are vessels of culture, craft, and emotion. And this year, the Filipino homeware brand brings art into the heart of the home with its most ambitious collaboration yet: CASA JUAN x Fundacion Sansó.
Unveiled in a private viewing at Galerie Joaquin in Power Plant Mall, the collection features a stunning range of plates, coasters, side tables, jewelry boxes, and trays inspired by the joyful paintings of modernist master Juvenal Sansó.
Drawn from the private collection of Fundacion Sansó, the works—Of Profound Joy, Of Gentle Reminiscences, and A Cerulean Daydream, among others—reflect the painter’s belief that art is, above all, therapy. These are pieces born of happiness, translated into homeware that sparks the same feeling.
“I’m a fan of Sansó,” CASA JUAN founder Michelle Fontelera shared with ART+ Magazine. “And I know many people are, too. But not everyone can afford a painting. So this collection is the closest thing to having a Sansó at home. Something you can actually use and enjoy.”
From vibrant florals to idyllic seascapes, each limited-edition piece channels Sansó’s light and optimism, which were qualities that resonate deeply with CASA JUAN’s own philosophy.

“Our products are meant to bring joy,” Fontelera explains. “Just like Sansó’s art, when you see it, it makes you happy.”
Launched in 2020, CASA JUAN has become known for curating homeware that tells stories of Filipino creativity and heritage. Past collaborations have featured designers like Rajo Laurel and favorite collaborator Galerie Joaquin. Still, Fontelera calls the Sansó collection their “biggest yet”—a union of art and accessibility wrapped in elegance.
Each piece feels like an artifact of joy. A coaster edged with color, a tray awash in memory, a jewelry box whispering of sunlight and sea. Fontelera describes the collaboration as “accessible but elusive,” crafted in small batches, each numbered and never reproduced. “When we say limited, we mean it,” she says.
What makes CASA JUAN x Sansó so resonant is its tenacious design imbued with spirit. Sansó painted from a place between imagination and memory; while CASA JUAN builds from that same emotional geography, where art meets function, and the home becomes a quiet gallery of feeling. In every plate and pattern, Sansó’s exuberance finds a new canvas—proof that joy, like art, belongs at home.
