“And just like that, you feel lost trying to figure out where to go.”

Why does growing up hurt so much? Maybe because we realize the people we love won’t be with us until the end. Suddenly, everything feels so transactional and our dreams don’t look so bright anymore. We grieve endlessly: for the people we lost, the dreams we abandoned, the simplicity of life, and the people we used to be.

Following the success of Mula sa Buwan and Bar Boys: A New Musical, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative proudly brings ‘We Aren’t Kids Anymore’ to the Philippine stage this May 2025.

Created by Drew Gasparini, this inspiring coming-of-age musical presents five unique perspectives from artists of diverse ages and genders. Through its heartfelt songs, it delves into the complex journey of growing up, capturing the tension between adulthood's responsibilities and the lingering sense of childhood innocence.

The upcoming production boasts an all-star cast featuring Gab Pangilinan, Maronne Cruz, Gio Gahol, Luigi Quesada, and Myke Salomon, portraying the very human experience of growth and transformation.

Taking over the production is Rem Zamora as the director, joined by Myke Salomon and Farley Asuncion as musical directors, Jomelle Era as movement director, Joey Mendoza as production designer, Hershee Tantiado as associate production designer, D Cortezano as lighting designer and technical director,  as well as Aron Roca as sound—bringing the musical to life.

We Aren’t Kids Anymore will be staged from May 2 to 25, 2025 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.
