The New Hue, an independent community platform brand in the Philippines, has officially announced its partnership with streaming platform Spotify as it also celebrates five fruitful years in the industry. Through this partnership, both platforms’ commitment to fostering community and creativity within the Filipino music industry is set in motion and kept alive.

As part of the collaboration, an official Spotify playlist titled “The New Hue VMA 2025: The Nominees” was launched, featuring this year’s VMA talents across 18 categories. Upon the announcement of the results, another playlist “THE WINNERS” will also be released, dedicated to the excellent artists who will take home the awards.

Indie artist Mix Fenix marked the beginning of the event as she reminisced about The New Hue’s early days. Born in 2020, the platform set its aim to spread positivity during the pandemic. “It was the fruitful conversations that kept us moving,” she noted.

Mix Fenix also underscored The New Hue’s evolution. “The New Hue has grown from a simple initiative to a community-driven platform where voices are heard from all corners of the music industry,” she said.

A blend of familiar faces who have supported the platform since its inception and new additions to the community attended the event. OPM artists Adie, MRLD, Dilaw, Clara Benin, Pat Lasaten and Agnes Reoma of Ben&Ben, and a lot more also filled the night with positive energy.

The New Hue founder H expressed his gratitude and encouraged the continuous patronizing of Filipino music. “Five years of still doing this is a milestone we all celebrate today. Thank you for being part of this,” he said.

The words “Only in Black and White” marked the end of the eventful night. The New Hue and Spotify’s partnership is more than a collaboration, but a symbol of artist-centered platforms working together to uplift the OPM community and amplify their voices further, one artist recognition at a time.
