In its fourth edition, Gateway Art Fair returns with more fun, engaging, and immersive art activities and events for everyone, carrying the theme “Live your Art” to inspire patrons to collect, artists to create, and the public to celebrate art on October 2 to 5 at Gateway Mall, Araneta.
Presented by the Gateway Gallery of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the event is envisioned to stimulate art exchange, cultivate new patrons, and empower local artists and their communities.

According to Diane Romero, Executive Director of JAAF, this year’s iteration of Gateway Art Fair is going to be bigger and bolder with its utilization of private and community collaborations to take over Gateway Mall’s activity areas.
“Visitors can look forward to a bigger and more exciting art fair, with hundreds of artworks on display and available for purchase, complemented by side events designed to offer a truly multisensory experience. Best of all, admission to all activities is free, making the event accessible to everyone,” she said.

In all shape and form
Gateway Art Fair is moving beyond the conventional with art installations, performances, merchandise, and interactive programs open for public viewing.
The four-day fair will include multiple demos and presentations, which include large-scale art installations open from the said dates: live music, film, and theater featuring Quezon Symphonic Band on October 2; PETA performances on October 3 to 4; CCP’s Cultural Cache screenings on October 2 to 5; and demos and talks on printmaking, book sculpture, coffee art, plein air painting, and photography from October 3 to 5.
“Through the Gateway Art Fair, we invite people to experience how [art] shapes everyday life. We want everyone to feel art’s impact and see how it can inspire and connect us all,” Romero added.

This year, the fair will be bringing 36 curated exhibits from emerging and mid-career artists, providing a platform for self-expression and selling artwork. Beyond highlighting local artists, the Gateway Art Fair will also feature JAAF’s art and culture programs to enrich Filipino communities, and deepen their appreciation and love for the arts.
For Romero, the art fair paves the path of accessibility by bringing art to people of all walks of life, true to J. Amado Araneta’s vision of democratizing leisure, by making a space where anyone can experience and enjoy art in all its forms.
After all, this year’s art fair aligns with Gateway Gallery's 10th anniversary, signifying a decade of Araneta City’s cradle for the arts. The gallery has launched and nurtured countless artists and resident groups such as FilPAG, Grupo Kwadro, PASPI, and PPA, while its flagship exhibit SiningSaysay: Philippine History in Art steps forward to digital accessibility via Gateway Gallery Pocket Museum app.

“We invite everyone to join this year’s Gateway Art Fair and experience the best of Filipino creativity—from paintings and sculptures to films and live performances. Support local artists by collecting their work or simply by celebrating it with us,” Romero concluded.
