During the height of the pandemic, many content creators emerged as a result of the unavoidable, chronically online trend of the time. Among them were visual artists who built communities through the narratives woven into their artwork.

One such artist was @sevvanto, a Filipino-Canadian illustrator who took social media by storm alongside @stil_lindigo—all with just a few art panels featuring their streamer friends.

“Professional Artist by Day, a Degen Also by Day”

Sevvanto is a full-time freelance artist who immerses himself in fan art and original character (OC) content. As he notes on his official website, his artistic focus shifts frequently, depending on his current fixation.

His portfolio features artwork inspired by popular games, series, and streamers, alongside his own original characters—each with a compelling story to tell.

What sets him apart? His signature art style, characterized by highly expressive facial expressions, dynamic movement, intricate character designs, and an impressive attention to detail.

Every piece is a story in itself—conveying ambiance, atmosphere, and intensity, right down to the glimmer in a character’s eyes. It’s no wonder @sevvanto (or Sev) has made a name for himself, all while maintaining his goofy and lighthearted persona.

OfflineTV

The rise of Twitch streamers has been meteoric, especially with their content being easily accessible on YouTube. Now, imagine putting a group of them under one roof.

Enter OfflineTV: the adorable, soft-spoken LilyPichu; the loud and chaotic Michael Reeves; the sharp and witty Disguised Toast; the charismatic Pokimane; the kind-hearted Scarra; the internet’s beloved Sykkuno; the hilarious Yvonne; and the ever-mischievous Brodin.

Their onscreen chemistry made them a favorite among fans and, naturally, a source of inspiration for countless artists. So, it was only a matter of time before fan art of them started flooding social media.

And that’s exactly where Sev came into the picture.

A “Bit” Between Friends

What started as a simple joke among friends turned into a creative spark for Sev and fellow content creator @stil_lindigo (Lindi).

The idea? A Twitch-streamer mafia family, a concept humorously suggested by Disguised Toast. In this fictional universe, Scarra would be the Don, overseeing his capos—Pokimane, Disguised Toast, Michael Reeves, and LilyPichu—who, in turn, had their own underlings.

From that moment, Sev and Lindi’s Comfy Cartel was born.

The Comfy Cartel

Two months later, Sev introduced Part 1 of the Comfy Cartel comic series on Instagram, depicting Lily and Toast recruiting Corpse Husband into their underground syndicate.

In the same post, Sev shared, “This Comfy Cartel story idea has been in the back of my head for a while, and it opens up so many possibilities for future scenarios!”

Since then, both Sev and Lindi have continued expanding the story, blending their distinct artistic styles into the Comfy Cartel’s gritty, badass aesthetic.

Things really took off when the comics caught the attention of OfflineTV and other streamers. Valkyrae and Sykkuno even read the series on stream, and in 2023, Sev was personally commissioned by LilyPichu.
