Salu Salo Market is elevating the craze for matcha lovers by combining a familiar flavor to a taste that Filipinos have grown to love.

From the huge success of its first leg at SMDC Fame Mall, the curated pop-up market’s Ube-Matcha Meetup is now at SMDC Light Mall in Mandaluyong, filling the place with two most loved flavors from October 14 to 17, 2026.

Inspired by “Break in case of emergency”, the community brings together 16 local brands and entrepreneurs to achieve two desired outcomes beyond generating sales: to introduce small businesses and to satisfy fans’ ube and matcha craving through their four-day meetup.

While others might see it as a challenge, Salu Salo Market sees an opportunity in organizing this event on weekdays until Saturday as they believe that SMDC Light Mall has a strong residential community instead of just relying on weekend shoppers only.

“Sometimes, it's about bringing the experience closer to where people already are,” Salu Salo Market shared during an exclusive interview with Art Plus Magazine.

With their advocacy to foster meaningful connections between brands and consumers, Salu Salo Market is incorporating interactive activities like bingo and working with content creators to introduce their merchants to a wider audience.

For the community, their identity is the exact representation of Filipino culture of coming together, sharing foods, and creating memories.

True to their mission of celebrating and supporting the local culture, Salu Salo Market is now gearing up for one of their biggest events happening on November 28-29 at Bigger Pictures, Mandaluyong.

“At the end of the day, we don't just want to create successful events. We want to create opportunities, build communities, and make a lasting impact on the local businesses we bring together,” they shared.
