Calling all runners! The wait is finally over. The iconic French brand Salomon has officially landed in the Philippines, and it’s making quite the entrance. On July 13, 2024, Salomon opened the doors to its first store at Midlevel 2/3 East Wing, EDSA Shangri-La Plaza. Get ready to experience the perfect blend of performance and style that has made Salomon a cult favorite worldwide.

A New Chapter Begins

If you didn’t know, Salomon is the modern mountain sports lifestyle brand creating innovative, premium, and authentic footwear, apparel, and winter sports equipment in the French Alps. At the Annecy Design Center, designers, engineers, and athletes intersect to shape the future of sports and culture. At Salomon, we exist to unleash the best in people through mountain sports.

From the French Alps to the bustling streets of Manila, Salomon’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Known for its innovative designs and unmatched versatility, Salomon has carved out a niche in the fashion world, captivating the hearts of the style-savvy and the adventure-seeking alike. And now, with the grand opening of their first store in the Philippines, they’re ready to take us all on a thrilling ride.

The Star of the Show

Let’s talk about the star of Salomon’s lineup—the legendary XT-6. Since its debut in 2013, the XT-6 has been turning heads and winning hearts with its sleek silhouette, statement patterns, and vibrant color palettes. Whether you’re hitting the trails or strutting down city streets, the XT-6 has got you covered. Say goodbye to bulky hiking boots and hello to a stylish upgrade that doesn’t compromise on performance.

At the grand opening, attendees got an up-close look at what makes the XT-6 so special. From earthy tones to bold pops of color, these kicks are designed to elevate your look while pushing your limits. It’s no wonder the XT-6 continues to dominate both the streets and the trails.

Carlo Aragon, founder of Salomonology, was on hand to share why Salomon is a fashion force to be reckoned with. “Salomon blends peak performance with everyday style,” he explained. And he’s not wrong. Daphne Chao, a designer renowned for her Salomon accessories, showcased how to transform your Salomons into head-turning fashion pieces. Who knew running shoes could be so chic?

Trailblazing in the Community

Salomon’s commitment to the trail running community is undeniable. They were the official footwear partner for the Southeast Asian Trail Running Cup held from June 19–23 and have also teamed up with the Philippine Trail Running Association. These partnerships reinforce Salomon’s dedication to supporting trail running in the Philippines. Mikko Abello, Business Unit Senior Manager for Salomon, Wilson, and Descente, expressed his excitement, saying, “From trail to city, we have something to offer both the serious trail run athlete and the fashion-forward consumer.”
