In this inspired endeavor, which celebrates light as a source of inspiration, creation, and energy, Rustan’s not only continues its commitment to enrich the Filipino shopping experience through quality and curated merchandise, but also, by sharing the authentic traditions and craftsmanship of Moroccan artistry, while connecting the country to the rest of the world. Through this gateway of culture, which is set to run from September 20 to December 31, 2023, on the 5th floor of Rustan’s Makati, one is able to discover the rich heritage and the cultural diversity of the Kingdom of Morocco, hopefully receiving that final nudge to visit the mesmerizing beauty that is Morocco.

Giving a glimpse into the Morocco Kingdom of Light festival, Rustan’s, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Moroccan National Tourism Office will host a whole day of enchantment. In this setting, the curiosity and engaged energy of the esteemed guests will be palpable as they marvel at the delightful details that their culture has to offer. Already enchanted by the tradition musical entertainment, calligraphy, and henna tattoo, vignettes will be thoughtfully built to really encapsulate the incomparable spirit of Morocco. Walls of blue zellige (handmade tiles) that will be an explosion of spellbinding mosaic patterns will bookend the space, which will be festooned with food and accoutrements that will be truly a remarkable sight.

Making it even more special, an art exhibition inspired by Moroccan Jars by Nikulas Lebajo and Moroccan-inspired tablescapes by Pinky Tobiano will grace the event. Signature to their culture of warmth and hospitality, the full display of tabletop and Moroccan entertaining will be a centerpiece that everyone will not be able to get enough of. See the fascinating display of Handmade Moroccan Fountains made of Zellige tiles; a major array of Brass Lamps from Casablanca to brighten your homes; fascinating camel bone jars and jewelry boxes, hand-carved with beautiful designs; handmade Moroccan porcelain dinnerware and tajines; Moroccan silverwares; as well as bursts of colors in Moroccan linens, poufs, ottomans, and rugs. It will feel as if you are right smack in the heart of Marrakesh, sipping mint tea, sampling spices and dates, and slathering on Argan oil, all of which will be made available, of course, by Rustan’s.
