Creative projects never slip out of sight. Even at home, posters and advertisements sit quietly in the background. Step outside, and billboards and painted walls line the streets, each one a display of creativity. In schools, libraries, and clinics, magazines and newspapers are stacked in corners, waiting to be picked up and explored.

It is easy to take in all of this without thinking about the people behind it—the individuals whose work is imprinted on every page, surface, and screen. The teams responsible often remain unseen, their efforts recognized only in small credits or not at all.

The setup for the Preview Creatives’ Night 2026

For over three decades, they have been the invisible hands sculpting the Filipino aesthetic—the names tucked away in the fine print of editorial credits, the eyes behind the viewfinders, and the hands blending the perfect shade of “it-girl” crimson.

On April 14, 2026, in Manila, Preview flipped the script. At the inaugural Creatives’ Night, the brand stepped out from its role as a platform and took on a new purpose as a megaphone for the visionaries shaping the country’s cultural pulse.

From editorial credits to center stage

The evening was not just a party; it was a landmark statement dedicated to the people shaping today’s creative landscape. While most galas focus on the faces in front of the lens, this night shifted attention to the Preview Creative 25, a dynamic and multidisciplinary group of talents.

The roster unfolded like a curated portrait of industry disruptors, spanning an expansive range of disciplines, from chefs and musicians to journalists and bold image-makers. Among those celebrated were visual artist Quiccs, singer-songwriter Dia Maté, and digital-age storytellers such as Gabriela Serrano and Icoy Rapadas.

The list also reflected the depth and diversity of the local creative scene, bringing together names like Dencio Aguilar, Jacque De Borja-Medestomas, Lio Mangubat, Edgar San Diego, Royd Santiago, and visual artists Keso and Isabel Santos. Together, they represent a generation of behind-the-scenes tastemakers proving that Filipino creativity cannot be confined to a single definition but thrives as a collective force.

The 2026 Hall of Fame

The emotional core of the evening came with the introduction of the Preview Hall of Fame, a first-of-its-kind recognition honoring figures whose careers are woven into the brand’s 31-year legacy. These honorees did more than reach success; they helped build the paths that others now follow, becoming synonymous with excellence in their respective fields.

Jing Monis stands as a true pioneer, with a history tied to the brand’s very first issue. He worked on Preview’s maiden cover with Tweetie De Leon, shaping a beauty aesthetic that resisted trends and instead embraced timelessness. His pursuit of excellence eventually carried him to international recognition.

Liz Uy’s journey tells a story of persistence and growth. She began as a Preview editorial assistant, handling everything from styling pulls to on-set fixes with determination and resourcefulness. Over time, she transformed that experience into Stylized Studios, where she now leads a team working with both local and luxury brands.

BJ Pascual, long considered a Preview mainstay, traces his rise back to an early editorial with the publication. From trusted collaborator to influential culture-shaper, he has created some of the brand’s most iconic visual identities, including memorable covers featuring Anne Curtis.

Cyndi Fernandez-Beltran, the creative force behind Moss Design House, brought her visionary approach to life when she transformed a ballroom into a modern kulambo for Preview’s 30th anniversary. The immersive installation, layered with draped mesh and greenery and inspired by the works of Fernando Amorsolo, demonstrated her multidisciplinary take on luxury design.

A glimpse of the future

In true Preview fashion, the night also offered a look ahead. The event revealed the April 2026 cover, a collaboration with Creamsilk that featured a trio of modern muses: Marina Summers, Lierge Perey, and Kianna Dy.

More than just a celebration

Creatives’ Night ultimately felt less like a traditional awards show and more like a gathering rooted in shared vision and collaboration. Since its founding in 1995, Preview has served as a key documenter of local style and culture.

By turning the spotlight toward the people behind the images, ideas, and moments, the brand signals a new chapter, one that recognizes the tastemakers who have long worked behind the scenes.

This inaugural event sets a strong precedent, pointing toward a future where the individuals shaping Filipino creativity are given the recognition they have always deserved.

To the creatives who shape what we see and feel, this is your long-overdue moment in the light.
