This November 7 to 8, BGC High Street Central Square will come alive with the sound of exchange, collaboration, and celebration as Mabuhay Germany 2025: In High Spirits returns to bridge two cultures in one vibrant space.
Organized by the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), the annual event celebrates more than trade—it celebrates connection.
Since its inception in 2008, Mabuhay Germany has evolved into a lively platform where ideas, creativity, and community converge. This year’s theme, In High Spirits, captures the optimism of two nations moving forward together in innovation, sustainability, and cultural exchange.
“Mabuhay Germany 2025 is more than a celebration; it’s a testament to the enduring friendship and shared values between the Philippines and Germany,” shares GPCCI President Marie Antoniette Mariano.
Visitors can expect a dynamic lineup: exhibitions of German and Filipino products, a food showcase featuring classic beers and local fare, a job fair with on-the-spot recruitment, and panel discussions exploring everything from economic relations to artificial intelligence. It’s a space where industries meet artistry, where business becomes a conversation and collaboration feels like culture.
GPCCI Head of Chamber Services Kat Rodriguez Reyes describes the event as “a showcase of German and Philippine relations—more than a forum, it’s a fair of trade, ideas, and flavors.” She adds with a grin, “And of course, people look forward to the food, the drinks, and the music. We’ll have German music night on the first day, and karaoke on the second—a true mix of both worlds.”
For Chamber Services Officer Rodnell John Edillo, the event also embraces deeper dialogue. “We’re going to ask the hard questions too—especially about how today’s political and economic climate affects our ties,” he says.
“It’s people’s diplomacy,” GPCCI Executive Director Christopher Zimmer sums up. “Not institutions or governments; just us, bridging a lovely event from Germany to here, and from here to Germany, bringing as many people together as possible to celebrate our friendship.”
Perhaps that’s the real art of Mabuhay Germany: the ability to transform commerce into culture, and culture into connection. Every booth, every song, every toast becomes a brushstroke in a shared canvas that stretches across continents.
In a time when global collaboration is often spoken of in policy terms, Mabuhay Germany 2025 reminds us that international relations can also sound like laughter over beer, taste like pretzels and adobo, and look like people learning and dancing, together.
