The year 2025 marks a monumental chapter in travel as Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, unveils its latest direct flight routes, connecting Iloilo City to the world and Vienna to Southeast Asia. With the launch of these routes, Scoot promises to bring convenience, culture, and adventure to your doorstep.

Take Flight to Vienna

Starting June 3, 2025, Scoot’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner will whisk travelers from Singapore to Vienna, Austria, three times a week. With its 329-seat capacity across two cabin classes, this aircraft ensures a comfortable journey that mirrors the elegance of its destination.

Vienna, famed as the "City of Music," has long been a beacon for culture lovers. Home to classical music legends like Mozart and Strauss, the city harmonizes timeless artistry with its baroque architecture and vibrant coffeehouse culture. Beyond Vienna's iconic sights, its central location offers a gateway to Eastern Europe, with Bratislava, Budapest, and Prague just a short drive away. Whether you’re planning a cultural retreat or an epic European road trip, Vienna promises memories that will sing in your heart.

The Heart of the Philippines

On April 14, 2025, Scoot will also commence flights to Iloilo City, a vibrant hub of culture and history nestled in the Philippine archipelago. Operated on the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, these flights will start at twice weekly, increasing to four times weekly by June.

Iloilo is a treasure trove for intrepid explorers and culture enthusiasts. From its meticulously preserved Spanish-era churches to the dynamic energy of the Dinagyang Festival, Iloilo’s charm lies in its ability to blend tradition with modernity. And for foodies? Iloilo’s local cuisine, featuring dishes like La Paz Batchoy, is a journey in itself.

Affordable Luxury and Accessibility

Scoot’s new routes are about making travel more accessible without compromising quality. One-way fares to Iloilo start at an impressive SGD129, while tickets to Vienna begin at SGD309 for economy class. For those seeking added comfort, ScootPlus fares start at SGD659, offering premium perks at a fraction of the cost.

“We’re thrilled to expand our network with these exciting destinations,” said Scoot CEO Leslie Thng. “Our aim is to inspire travelers to explore new cities and cultures while delivering excellent value and reliable service.”

Booking Your Adventure

Ready to pack your bags? Tickets to both destinations are available starting January 16, 2025, via Scoot’s website and mobile app. Whether you’re dreaming of Europe’s musical heartland or yearning for a tropical escape in Iloilo, Scoot’s seamless booking process ensures that your travel plans are just a click away.

In line with its growth strategy, Scoot will refine its global operations to better meet passenger demand. While routes like Berlin and Jinan will be discontinued, the airline remains committed to delivering innovation, efficiency, and unforgettable travel experiences.

For Ilonggos eager to venture beyond, Scoot’s direct flights are a passport to the world. And for travelers worldwide, the enchanting culture of Iloilo is now within reach. So, whether it’s the lilting notes of Vienna’s symphonies or the lively rhythms of Iloilo’s festivals, a new chapter of exploration awaits.
