The holiday season just got a little more exciting for comic and manga fans in the Philippines.

The country’s beloved bookstore chain, Fully Booked, has launched its first-ever branded merchandise line inspired by Bat-manga, the 1960s Japanese take on Batman by artist Jiro Kuwata.

The collection includes graphic tees, hoodies, tote bags, and collectible bookmarks that fuse vintage comic aesthetics with modern lifestyle staples.

From Page to Wardrobe

Beyond shelves stocked with novels, Fully Booked is a haven for collectors and pop culture enthusiasts, offering stationery, art supplies, and other lifestyle items. Now it’s taking storytelling a step further by creating its own merchandise line.

“Bat-Manga is a fascinating chapter in pop culture history. It’s an interpretation of one of the greatest comic icons, and a reminder that great stories can transcend language and geography,” Miguel Daez, Fully Booked’s Head of Licensed Merchandise, said.

“The retro manga art style is something we believe Filipino comic and manga fans will appreciate.”

Each piece of the collection is carefully crafted to balance style and quality. Graphic tees are made of 100% cotton with water-based screen printing, while hoodies feature a cotton-polyester blend with embroidered details.

Even the tote bags showcase thoughtful design elements like loop add-ons and finely textured prints.

A New Chapter

The Bat-Manga collection marked the beginning of Fully Booked’s journey into licensed merchandise. Future collections are planned to feature other iconic franchises, blending fandom, fashion, and lifestyle in one package.

“Storytelling has been a big part of the Fully Booked brand. Launching the licensed merchandise division allows us to extend that storytelling into lifestyle and fashion, creating more connections for fans to the fictional worlds they love,” Daez added.

For fans of comics, manga, or simply great design, it’s the perfect way to celebrate a unique moment in pop culture this holiday season.

The Bat-Manga line will be available in select Fully Booked branches nationwide starting December and online at their official website.
