In the halls of Ayala Malls Circuit, a student-led exhibit brings together over 170 prints, traditional and digital artworks, and immersive installations by multimedia graduating students of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.
Titled ORGANICA: Emergence, the show presents art as a living system—one that grows, adapts, and transforms. Anchored on the theme “Bio Art,” it opens a space where creative freedom thrives, and individuality takes form.

For its artists and organizers, the exhibit goes beyond presentation. It marks a transition and an entry point into the wider creative industry.

In an interview with Art+ Magazine, Aisha Lumio, an IB 123 Multimedia student and one of the event’s marketing members, underscored the importance of platforms like this for emerging artists.
“It’s important kasi our art is our lifeline talaga,” Lumio shares. “What we’re showing here is not only a piece of our art pero our portfolio of what we did in our multimedia arts subjects… it transcends our own boundaries to showcasing na. ‘Hello, World! We’re ready for you!’”
The exhibit functions not just as a display, but as a declaration—an introduction of their identities as artists ready to step into the creative field. For Lumio, seeing audiences engage with and resonate with their work is especially rewarding.

Samantha Santos, also a student and member of the marketing team, described the exhibit as both a challenge and a milestone in her creative growth.
“As an artist included sa event na ganito, this is actually one of the opportunities for me to actually do something I'm not comfortable with, especially since it’s also my first time creating a painting for something serious,” says Santos. “This exhibit is a nice way for us to showcase talaga our talents and lahat ng natutunan namin sa three years namin sa course na ‘to.”
For the students, the exhibition becomes both a culmination and a beginning—a presentation of what has emerged from their practice and a statement of where they are headed next.

Held annually, the portfolio exhibit of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde’s multimedia arts program serves as a platform for graduating students to present works developed throughout their three years of study. ORGANICA: Emergence is one iteration of this ongoing academic showcase.
Featuring a wide range of disciplines, including illustration, graphic design, photography, 3D modeling, animation, games, video, film, and motion graphics—the exhibit offers a layered, multi-sensor art experience.
