A dazzling new home for Filipino creativity opened its doors to the public on January 20, offering a vibrant showcase of achievements in product design and innovation. The space highlights the country’s growing export strengths across the home, fashion, lifestyle, and food sectors.
The launch of the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls—spearheaded by the Office of the President (OP) through the country’s export promotion agency, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM)—fulfills Executive Order No. 75, signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., which aims to strengthen Philippine export promotion efforts.
According to CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, the Exhibition Halls serve as a “connective tissue” linking the agency’s flagship trade shows. Likhang Filipino keeps the momentum of Manila FAME and IFEX Philippines alive throughout the year, she explained. “It provides a 365-day sourcing hub, ensuring that even when foreign buyers miss a trade show, the doors to Philippine design remain open.”
Featuring more than 2,000 products from nearly 200 enterprises—each a vetted exhibitor of Manila FAME and IFEX Philippines—the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls offer a compelling glimpse into the depth and versatility of the Filipino imagination. Located at the International Trade Center Complex along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, the year-round exhibition, retail, and incubation facility houses six distinct galleries, each dedicated to a major product category.
Before planning your visit, take a closer look at what each gallery has to offer.
Gallery 1: Special Exhibits and Design Library
Also known as the Black Box, this gallery is an immersive and experimental space where bold ideas and narratives come to life. The Special Exhibits and Design Library traces 50 years of Philippine design, beginning with creative breakthroughs in the 1970s. It situates Filipino designers—spanning graphics, furniture, gifts and houseware, film, and more—within the broader cultural and historical context in which they have worked and evolved.
For its inaugural showcase, the gallery presents inventive and daring pieces, including art chairs inspired by New Buri, a work by DCP Founding Director Arturo Luz.
Gallery 2: Traditional Arts and Crafts
Blending heritage with innovation, this gallery honors the enduring artistry of indigenous communities and master artisans. Familiar forms are reimagined, reflecting both exceptional skill and deep cultural identity. Featured products include arts and antiques, handwoven looms, chests and trunks, baskets and wood carvings, musical instruments, and ethnic accessories.
Gallery 3: Fashion, Textile, and Accessories
This gallery showcases wearable art through a curated selection of refined craftsmanship and modern silhouettes. From ready-to-wear collections to bespoke atelier pieces, it celebrates the diversity and sophistication of Filipino fashion. Designers featured specialize in clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry.
Gallery 4: Furniture and Lighting
Highlighting bold perspectives and expressive design, the Furniture and Lighting gallery features sculptural and biomorphic forms alongside refined Asian contemporary aesthetics. Each piece is designed to transform interiors into spaces of character, warmth, and understated luxury. On display are home and outdoor furniture, tabletop and kitchenware, bedding, pillows and accessories, rugs, and lighting products.
Gallery 5: Home Décor, Gifts, and Holiday Décor
Where tradition meets modernity, this gallery presents thoughtfully designed pieces that enhance everyday living and elevate seasonal celebrations. The selection includes linens, dining and entertaining essentials, kitchenware, fine art, and holiday décor.
Gallery 6: Food, Health, and Wellness
This gallery spotlights premium flavors crafted with intention, offering sweet and savory products designed for both indulgence and well-being. Highlights include chocolates, coffee and tea, Halal products, vegan and meat alternatives, beverages, delicacies, and condiments.
Complementing the food offerings is a curated range of wellness essentials such as essential oils, aromatic diffusers, scented candles, aromatherapy compresses, organic skincare, and spa accessories—creating a holistic sensory experience.
