The spotlight is once again on Filipina creativity as Sining Filipina 2025, the Philippines’ premier nationwide, all-women art competition, opens its call for entries. With a compelling theme—“Her Earth, Her Future”—this year’s edition invites women artists to use their talent to interpret the vital role of women in sustainability.

Whether you’re an emerging artist or a seasoned creative, this is your chance to make your mark, express your vision, and contribute to an artistic movement that champions empowerment and sustainability.

Art as Advocacy

Sining Filipina is all about using creativity to spark social change using the unique perspectives of female artists. Presented by SM Supermalls and Chinabank, with the support of Airspeed and in collaboration with the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, the competition serves as a platform for women to amplify their voices through their craft.

By centering on sustainability, “Her Earth, Her Future” emphasizes the interconnectedness of women and the environment. Artists are encouraged to weave narratives that highlight resilience, innovation, and the crucial role women play in shaping a greener tomorrow.

The Legacy of Excellence

Last year’s inaugural competition set the bar high. Negros Occidental’s Hanna Joy Sayam captivated judges with her award-winning figurative painting, “Pira-pirasong Tela ng mga Marias,” a tribute to the enduring strength of Filipina women. Similarly, Maria Gemma San Jose from Ilocos Norte earned top honors in the non-figurative category with “Layers of Experience,” a textured exploration of identity and history.

The 2025 edition is poised to uncover more groundbreaking works that merge artistry with advocacy.
