No man is an island. In the Philippines, no island is a single land, all are connected by culture and faith—the spirit of community, the shared identity of home.

With this beautiful nuance of togetherness, Don Papa Rum presents Don Papa Alon. A new collection rooted in Filipino expression, local flavors, reimagined values, and the scenic coastal waters of the Philippine islands.

The word ‘alon’ is a Filipino term for waves. In the new Alon collection, waves of stories and connections quench the thirst to take pride in what we have.

"With Don Papa Alon, we wanted to capture not just the flavors of the islands, but the feeling you get in those communities that deep sense of pride, warmth, and bayanihan that defines us as Filipinos," shared Angeline Manahan, Marketing Manager of Don Papa Rum.

A Toast to Familiarity

Don Papa Alon is infused with the zest of jackfruit, coconut, and warming spices, all sourced from the idea of home in the Philippines as a tropical country rich with produce, especially in the Negros Islands.

Inspired by the delicious Ginataang Langka dish, the rum highlights its creamy and luscious spiced taste that feels lush and tropical, with a kick of familiar Filipino soul. A drink that evokes gentle warmth that sparks conversations as a golden hour sundowner by the sea.

An Alliance of Shared Roots

Don Papa Rum is faithful to its tradition of storytelling through craft and collaboration, continuing it with a partnership with a fellow Negrense brand, Bayongciaga, for the packaging of Don Papa Alon.

This collaboration perfected the overall external aesthetic of the Alon Collection with innovative and artistic special modern bayong designs by Jav Villaruel’s Bayongciaga brand.

"This partnership is close to my heart. It's two Negrense brands coming together to celebrate our roots, our people, and the craft that defines us. Proudly Pinoy for me is not just a battle cry or a statement but also a movement to support and be proud to be a Filipino, of things Filipino, of places Filipino and of products made by Filipinos,” Villaruel shared.

A Glass of Philippine Flavors

Don Papa Alon is made especially to complement the gentle waves, the soothing coastal breeze, and the uncomplicated island life. No hassle, best served neat or on the rocks. For special mix-ins, the Alon collection can also be paired with fresh coconut water.

This rum is a great companion for intimate gatherings, celebrations, or a daily experience at home. Easy to enjoy simply or switch up flavors.

Make it at home:

Mix 50ml Don Papa Alon, 100ml fresh coconut water, and a squeeze of calamansi or lime. Serve over ice.

"When we lean into simplicity and fresh local ingredients, we allow the Filipino story to come through more clearly," said Audrey Gustilo, Brand Ambassador of Don Papa Rum. "It's familiar, comforting, and deeply ours."

Essentially, Don Papa Alon is a bottle-sized reminder to enjoy things in its simplest forms. Finding joy in life, companionship in communities, and taking pride in one’s roots.

"At the heart of every Don Papa creation is a story. With Don Papa Alon, that story is a reminder that community and craft are what truly make us rich. And what better way to celebrate that than with the perfect sundowner?" said Jo-Ann Ramos, President of Don Papa Rum, Philippines.

Don Papa Alon is out now in the markets. Available at Landmark, Booze.ph and boozy.ph. Soon, Don Papa Alon will be available in retail stores.
