Looking forward to this year’s Modern and Contemporary Art Festival? Here’s your guide to everything MoCAF–from the good, the grand, and the gritty.

Be inspired by Imao’s “Debugging”

Scenic designer and art provocateur Toym Leon Imao took center stage at MoCAF 2025 with his towering 12-foot installation, ‘Debugging.’ Positioned prominently in the festival’s open grounds, the spiral staircase sculpture illustrates the periods leading up to Philippine “independence,” symbolized by figures meticulously delousing their heads before them.

Reflecting Imao’s steadfast advocacy for human rights, the piece demands accountability in the face of historical revisionism—an urgent call to reclaim silenced voices and safeguard freedom through the preservation of truth.
