It’s been three years since the Modern and Contemporary Arts Festival (MoCAF) made its groundbreaking debut in the Philippine art scene. With this media launch, MoCAF promises to significantly elevate the expectations and attractions for this year’s festival, taking place from July 5 to July 7.
MoCAF’s primary goal has always been to uplift emerging talents within the local art industry and create an inviting, inspiring space for a diverse range of art lovers. In its third year, the festival continues to uphold this promise with numerous new expansions.
A Bigger, Better Space
One of the most significant expansions for this year’s festival is the venue upgrade. MoCAF will utilize a four-story setup at Marquis Events Place in BGC, providing ample space to house several galleries, artist exhibitions, and new programs for attendees to explore. With this significant upscale in space, MoCAF will feature a total of 47 galleries, including MoCAF Dialogues and other new initiatives.
The Main Ballroom will showcase 24 local galleries and 7 foreign galleries. Additionally, 11 special galleries will feature exclusive pieces by artists such as Katrina Cuenca and Michael Cacnio, along with exhibits from the Department of Tourism. Fourteen artists from last year’s lineup will return, joined by 28 new artists presenting their work.

MoCAF’s goal for 2024 is not only to expand the venue but also to extend its reach to aspiring artists in the industry. The festival aims to support younger galleries, artisanal jobs, and artist groups.
This event will represent many non-traditional art forms, showcasing a diverse range of styles within the galleries and merchandise in the artisan section. Attendees can admire the exhibits and performances while enjoying food concessionaires and Live Art sections for maximum comfort and entertainment.
