For more than three decades, the Yakult 10-Miler has stood as a cornerstone of Philippine road racing—bringing together generations of runners in pursuit of endurance, excellence, and a shared commitment to healthy living.

Now in its 34th year, the flagship running event of Yakult Philippines, Inc. returns with renewed energy and a bold new format: its first-ever Trilogy Run Series.

A Celebration of Health and Endurance

In 2026, the Yakult 10-Miler expands its footprint across three key cities, uniting runners from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in a nationwide celebration of fitness and community.

The series will kick off in Davao on July 12, 2026 at Global Township, followed by Cebu on August 23, 2026 at SM Seaside Cebu, and culminates in Manila on October 18, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

Organized in partnership with HyveSports, this year’s trilogy edition underscores the event’s enduring mission: to inspire Filipinos to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle.

The collaboration was formally sealed during a contract signing ceremony held on January 15, 2026 at HyveSports Café, Manila Padel Club, BGC, Taguig City, attended by executives from both organizations.

Legacy of the 10-Mile Mark

The Yakult Run officially became the Yakult 10-Miler in celebration of Yakult Philippines, Inc.’s 10th anniversary, when the 16-kilometer (10-mile) distance was introduced as its premier category.

Over time, the 10-mile mark evolved into a defining badge of honor within the local running community—challenging yet attainable, competitive yet inclusive.

Through the years, the event has grown into one of the country’s longest-running and most respected road races, attracting elite athletes, recreational runners, families, and first-time participants alike.

Runners may choose from 3K, 5K, 10K, and the signature 16K categories, ensuring that the Yakult 10-Miler remains accessible to all levels of fitness while preserving the prestige of its iconic distance.

Running with Purpose

Beyond the racecourse, the Yakult 10-Miler continues its tradition of running for a cause. The official beneficiary for this year’s event is C.H.I.L.D. Haus (Center for Health Improvement and Life Development Haus), a hospice-inspired shelter located in Paco, Manila.

The institution provides free lodging, meals, and holistic care programs to indigent patients—primarily children from the provinces—who are undergoing cancer treatment and medical evaluation in Metro Manila.

C.H.I.L.D. Haus was established through the efforts of philanthropist Ricky Reyes under the Ricky Reyes Foundation, with the vision of creating a safe haven for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Over the years, the organization has extended hope and healing to countless families in need.

Its permanent home in Paco, Manila, was made possible through the generosity of Hans Sy, President of SM Holdings, Inc., affectionately known to the children as “Kuya Hans ng C.H.I.L.D. Haus.”

In 2015, in celebration of his 60th birthday, Mr. Sy funded the construction of a larger and improved facility, ensuring that more children and families could receive care and comfort during their most challenging times.

More Than a Race

As it embarks on this historic Trilogy Run Series, the Yakult 10-Miler reaffirms that it is more than just a sporting event. It is a movement—one that fuels passion, strengthens communities, and champions the values of resilience and well-being.

For 34 years and counting, the Yakult 10-Miler has encouraged Filipinos to push their limits, celebrate milestones, and move forward together. In 2026, that journey continues—stronger, wider, and more purposeful than ever.
