Summer is definitely upon us, and while you're itching to take that well-deserved holiday, feel free to satiate your cravings in the meantime with the help of all the cafes and restaurants that were once vacation hotspots and are now making their way all over Metro Manila. Save up on travel fare and have a taste of Baguio, La Union, El Nido, Boracay, or Siargao right here in Metro Manila.

Check out these 8 vacation eateries you can now enjoy in the city.

For Baguio bites, drop by Rebel Bakehouse’s pop-up branch

When in Baguio, it would be a crime to skip Rebel Bakehouse for their buttery, flaky croissants. Imagine our delight when we found out that Baguio’s famed bakery has opened its latest pop-up branch in Metro Manila – in collaboration with no less than Makati’s Yardstick Coffee. A match made in heaven if you ask us.

Find it here: Rebel Bakehouse’s pop-up branch is located on the 4th Floor of Greenbelt 3 Cinemas in Makati City.

For La Union must-tries, visit Masa Bakehouse and Del Union

These two beloved Elyu cafes are the perfect spots for any brunch date, best enjoyed both by the sandy beach and at the heart of bustling Metro Manila.

Masa Bakehouse is best known for its scrumptious sandwiches and toasts, which feature freshly baked sourdough. Their sweet treats, like a wide variety of croissants and their kamote doughnuts, are also a must-try. Since cutting the ribbon on their BGC location, Masa is gearing up to open their next branches in Baguio and El Nido very soon.

Find it here: Masa Bakehouse has branches at The Montane in Bonifacio Global City, along Aguirre Avenue in BF Homes, Parañaque City, and at the Burgundy Transpacific Building along Taft Avenue, Manila.

Elyu coffee haven El Union is brewing up something special in BGC, and it’s their newest cafe Del Unión. Accompany your caffeine fix with their loaded sandwiches, highlighting Filipino flavors like chicken pinikpikian, longganisa, and tinapa.

Find it here: Del Unión is located on the 3rd Floor of the Fully Booked Bldg., Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

For Boracay faves, try ITMIRO Oyster Bar & Kitchen

There’s no need to take a flight to taste Two Seasons Hotel Boracay’s iconic Oyster Sisig and Four Cheese Pizza. ITMIRO Oyster Bar & Kitchen is serving up these two dishes for us Manileños to enjoy, ensuring quality for having sourced their oysters locally from Aklan.

Find it here: ITMIRO Oyster Bar & Kitchen is located at 656 Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City.

For El Nido eats, go for Trattoria Altrov'é

Searching for a new brick oven Neapolitan-style pizza to try? Well, El Nido pride Trattoria Altrov'é has got you covered. Spot the beloved homey Italian resto at Coron, Siargao, Cebu, and Tarlac, as well as in a few branches in the capital region.

Find it here: Trattoria Altrov'é’s Metro Manila branches can be found at 858 Tropical Ave, BF Homes, Parañaque City, and at 34 H. V. dela Costa, Salcedo Village, Makati City.

For Siargao grub, stop by Big Belly Burger, Spotted Pig, or Grifoni’s

The surf town’s best eateries can now be enjoyed in downtown Metro Manila. From plates of comfort food, serious burgers, and classic Italian, check out these Siargao grubs that have since expanded to the city.

Satisfy your burger cravings and scarf down any of Big Belly Burger’s wide selection of hefty patties. Also serving cocktails, beer, and wines, this spot makes for a great stop during a night-out.

Find it here: Big Belly Burger can be found at Forbeswood Heights, Tower 5, Forbestown Road, Burgos Circle, Taguig City.

Tucked in Legazpi Village is Siargao’s Spotted Pig, which serves up classic breakfast dishes, cocktails, pastries, and coffee with beans courtesy of Good Cup Coffee Co.

Find it here: Spotted Pig can be found at 109 Esteban, Legazpi Village, Makati City.

When one door closes, another one opens. That was the case for Siargao and Elyu’s Kermit, which braced for the impact of the pandemic back in 2021, to no avail. Two years later, the team behind the island pizza joint has since made its triumphant return with Grifoni’s, an equally casual spot with good quality slices and more.

Find it here: Grifoni’s BGC branch is located at Six/NEO, 5th Ave, cor 26th St, Taguig, and its Alabang branch can be found at Unit 1022, The Garden, Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City.
