The Asia Pacific Print Club – a newly established collective of printmakers from Southeast Asia– is thrilled to announce that its first traveling exhibition has finally made its way to the Philippines.
The exhibition features the works of six printmaking studios—Black Hand Gang (Indonesia), Krack Studio (Indonesia), Chiangmai Art on Paper C.A.P. Studio (Thailand), Jojo Kobe (Thailand), Rolling Paper Press (Philippines), and Pasilyo Press (Philippines). The traveling exhibition kicked off in December 2023 at Uma Seminyak in Bali, Indonesia, followed by a successful stint at Jojo Kobe Gallery in Thailand in early February. The exhibition is now set to captivate art enthusiasts in the Philippines.
The Asia Pacific Print Club is a non-profit representative organisation for printmakers, print studios, and printmaking communities across Asia Pacific. The club was founded in 2023 by a group of printmakers from Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The club’s mission is to provide a platform for printmakers to connect, collaborate, and share their work with the world.
Asia Pacific Print Club #03 Philippines will be held at Gravity Art Space in Quezon City from February 23 to March 23, 2024. The previous legs of the exhibition proudly showcased the talents of Filipino printmakers Angela Silva of Rolling Paper Press, Elmer Borlongan, Plet Bolipata, William Matawaran, and Alynnah Macla-Tadeo of Pasilyo Press.

“We are excited to host the Asia Pacific Print Club’s first traveling exhibition in the Philippines,” says Angela Silva of Rolling Paper Press, one of the founding member studios of the Asia Pacific Print Club. “This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate printmaking talents in Southeast Asia. We hope that it will inspire and connect art lovers from all over the region.”
