As one of the leading brands of carbonated mineral water, Perrier has unveiled a limited edition of its iconic green bottle, symbolizing the brand’s 160-year legacy.

The Iconic Bottle

From its original design—shaped like the elegant and practical curves of Indian juggling clubs—the Perrier bottle has always been a recognizable symbol. The current limited edition features thin horizontal streaks carved into the bottle’s body, adding a fresh touch without compromising its iconic shape.

Inspired by Fresnel’s optical design, these streaks diffuse light in a way that highlights the energy contained within the bubbles. The design also enhances functionality, making the bottle easier to grip, reducing the risk of dropping it.

Behind the bottle’s reimagined design is none other than renowned French designer Philippe Starck. Starck’s intricate horizontal streaks along the green bottle were crafted with everyday practicality in mind, ensuring that people can comfortably grasp it.

“PERRIER is part of the family. For as long as I can remember, it has always been on the dinner table—an elegant staple, adding joy to special moments where everything just tastes better,” Starck shared.

The Art of the Perrier Bottle

Throughout its rich history, Perrier has collaborated with various artists globally. Some artists have drawn portraits of Parisian women with humor and wit, while others have paid homage to Josephine Baker with designs featuring her iconic belt or intricate floral patterns.

This time, for the first time, Starck has revisited the bottle’s iconic shape by carving directly into its surface—an ode to Perrier’s bubbles and refreshing water.

The limited edition Perrier bottle became available locally in the Philippines starting in June.
