After years of bringing Italian flavors to BGC, Mandaluyong, and San Juan, Pocofino makes land fall in Makati with its new concept: Bar Pocofino. Nestled in the ground floor of the Ellis Makati in Salcedo Park, this new concept brings the Italian “bar” to the Philippines. While Filipinos would associate the word “bar” with an establishment purely focused on drinks, in Italy, “bar” is used the same way we would use “café” or “coffee shop.” “Bars” are places where Italians get a quick caffe (espresso) usually while standing at the bar. Aside from coffee, these lively areas are places where Italians meet and socialize over food and drinks. Bar Pocofino combines the two realities of the “bar” into one warm retro modern Italian-inspired, pet friendly space that serves Italian flavors through its coffee, food, desserts, and cocktails from sunrise to sunset.

Salcedo Park is known as a lively area that caters to its community with a diverse selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Cafe hopping is a common past time for residents and non-residents alike who frequent the area. So as Bar Pocofino joins the roster of excellent coffee shops in the area, what sets it apart?

Bar Pocofino introduces both Italian coffee classics (such as caffe, cappuccino, and americano) and its unique caffe lattes such as the creamy Tre Latte, the small yet strong Forzzafino, and the brand’s best selling signature sweet latte the Pocofino Latte. All drinks use coffee beans roasted by Pocofino’s premium Italian coffee partners. Their longest partner Danesi Caffe is a heritage coffee brand that has been roasting coffee for the past century. Explore the blends from all over Italy with their Bean of the Day special, which features a new blend of coffee every day.

If you’re feeling peckish, taste a number of Bar Pocofino’s food and treats. For a meal, choose from a variety of their paninis and pastas. The Panini Pesto di Pollo is a crowd favorite in their flagship store Caffe Pocofino. Keep an eye out for exclusive lunch specials that offer a panini, salad, and pasta all in one plate. For those who enjoy sweet treats, try a slice of their rich Tiramisu Cheesecake or take home a Panna Cotta in one of their glass jars.

As the sun sets, head over to Bar Pocofino with friends for a relaxing night cap. The selection features wine, classic cocktails, and exclusive cocktails. Try their sweet twist on an Espresso Martini with the La Dolce Vita which uses their premium Italian coffee. Transport yourself to the south of Italy with The Sicily, a refreshing cocktail that has a spicy kick. Experience the Italian equivalent of a happy hour with their L’apperitivo Nights which features special promotions and treats along with your drink.

Whether you’re looking for that caffeine boost after a run, a warm meal for your midday break, or a spirited drink to end your day, Bar Pocofino is ready to serve you with a warm “ciao.” Bar Pocofino offers the community of Salcedo a place to cherish the small fine things and find joy at any time of the day.

Bar Pocofino will be the first of many new concept to come this 2024. For more updates about Bar Pocofino (The Ellis Makati) or any other upcoming concepts, check them out on Instagram (@pocofino) and visit their website at https://pocofino.com.
