With that, here’s a curated list of our favorite artists from the three-day run of this iconic art fair!
Hey, Mady!
One of the standout artists at the fair was Hey, Mady. As an illustrator and graphic artist, she captures the mundane aspects of life using just two colors: black and white. Her work is characterized by architectural lines and minimalistic designs.
From postcards and posters to notebooks and straw glass cups, her trademark black-and-white illustrations beautifully depict everyday life scenarios and people's lifestyles.
Nnene.iie
Hailing from Thailand, Nnene.iie showcased her unique craft that blends personal and commercial art.
Her ability to conceptualize art based on everyday objects and spontaneous moments is truly impressive. She even incorporated shoes, clothing, brands, and bags into her artwork, paired with minimalistic words and letters for added impact.
Ping Sasinan
Also from Thailand, Ping Sasinan wowed visitors with her colorful and extraordinary artworks.
A comic artist based in Bangkok, Ping's work is inspired by surrealism and explores deeply personal and meaningful stories. Her booth was mesmerizing, featuring eye-catching pieces inspired by tarot cards and their intricate characters.
Ohwelladays
A native of the Philippines, Ohwelladays infused her artwork with a whimsical touch that evoked a deep sense of nostalgia.
Her art explores the juxtaposition between destruction and repair, showcasing overgrown natural scenes in everyday surroundings. In her pieces, nature overtakes elements meant to be unbreakable, adding a profound layer of meaning.
