With trauma comes hope, and with hope comes the willingness to make better things happen.
In her 7th solo show, Tyang Karyel welcomes you to her house of manifest in “Welcome Home.” Her previous solo exhibitions dwelled upon chaos, anxieties, struggles, and more recently, her personal trauma of losing her father from the pandemic virus. Still, time heals and Karyel is taking a step forward, away from the past’s heartaches. “Welcome Home” is partly inspired by Buddha’s words: “In order to gain anything, you must lose everything.” Taking with her all the love and support that she was given during the darkest time of her life, her new exhibition offers a manifestation to be more loving, to be more hopeful, to be more adventurous. To be stronger.
Tyang Karyel believes that “Everything is possible and what we think, we will become.” So welcome to Tyang Karyel’s home, as we are all stuck in our homes, and you may be inspired to carve a path of your own beginning.
Virtually open on April 10. Follow @tyangkaryel for her live home gallery presentation! Message @spaceencountersgallery for catalogue and reservations.
