Galleria Duemila being the oldest art gallery in Metro Manila celebrates its 43rd year in business. To celebrate this milestone, Galleria Duemila held a group show titled “A Celebration of Friends” at Finale Art File. This act of camaraderie goes to show that gallery owners maintain ties of friendship despite the small competitive nature of the art scene in Manila.
Silvana Diaz, a prominent personality in the local art scene, is a patron and a stalwart for the preservation of many cultural and heritage efforts in the country. During the opening of “A Celebration of Friends”, Diaz saw the all works that have been gathered for this exhibit for the first time. She described it as a very emotional moment.

In attendance were art patrons such as Art Fair Philippines founders Trickie Lopa, Dindin Araneta, and Lisa Periquet. Present also were friends, artists, and collaborators of Galleria Duemila like Betsy Westerndorp, Ross Capili, Tiny Nuyda, and Charlie Co to name a few.
Curating the exhibition was Nilo Illarde. The exhibition featured works by Gus Albor, Freddie and Isabel Aquilizan, Agnes Arellano, Pandy Aviado, Jinggoy Buensuceso, Benjie Cabangis, Norberto Carating, Valeria Cavestany, Lina Llaguno Ciani, Charlie Co, Allan Cosio, Ivi Avellana-Cosio, Igan d’ Bayan, Daniel Dela Cruz, RM de Leon, Duddley Diaz, Romina Diaz, Ramon Diaz, Rock Drilon, Edgar Doctor, Junyee, Lao Lianben, Julie Lluch, Tiny Nuyda, Jonathan Olazo, Romulo Olazo, Ramon Orlina, Cid Reyes, Jose Tence Ruiz, Ross Capili, Tony Twigg, Trek Valdizno, Roy Veneracion, Nestor Vinluan, Denise Weldon, Betsy Westendorp, Edwin Wilwayco and Phyllis Zaballero.
