This year, the Philippines and Denmark celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The activities will take place under the theme: “75 Years of Friendship: Partners in Progress for Sustainable Growth.”
The Embassies of both countries thank the highly awarded Jacob Jensen Design (JJD) Studio for conceptualizing this year’s official logo, representing windmills with wind blades depicting the shapes of two local flowers – Sampaguita and Daisy respectively.

Jacob Jensen Design states:“We have created a simple, fresh, and dynamic logo inspired by renewable energies, which are the forefront of both countries’ economic and social agendas”.
“It is an honour for Jacob Jensen Design to take part in the 75th years anniversary of diplomatic
relations between Denmark and the Philippines and contribute by designing the logo of the event. It has been a truly global and collaborative process, not only from our organisation with designers participating across Denmark, China and Thailand but also with deep involvement from both the Danish Embassy in Manila and the Philippines Embassy in Copenhagen.
For this important milestone between Denmark and the Philippines, we have been extremely inspired by the passion and focus each country is putting on green transition, especially renewable energies. The path to sustainability is only natural and one that simply just makes sense, but it will require a high level of knowledge exchange and collaboration moving forward.
To illustrate this, we have created a simple, fresh and dynamic logo inspired by wind energy. The wind turbines, stylised like respective national flowers -the Daisy and the Sampaguita- combine geometric and organic elements to represent the balance between human knowledge and nature, the connection between innovation and sustainability. The colours of each national flag is present, with an emphasize on the yellow, a colour only present in the flag of the Philippine but bringing a reminiscent of the sun element and connecting to the overall theme of renewable energy sources and both countries partnering for a bright future.
Innovation and sustainability are very close to our heart at Jacob Jensen Design. As ambassadors of Danish Design and contributors to creative education in Asia, we made it our mission to collaborate with local companies and academia to develop creative economies, to highlight the importance of design innovation in solving environmental issues and aim for a sustainable world.”
