WE ARE ONE: Unity in Diversity
Amid continuing conflict and divisiveness over numerous issues worldwide, the Austrian Embassy in Manila is leading an international exhibit at the historic Walled City of Intramuros this month to promote harmony and understanding through Lomography.
Entitled “WE ARE ONE: Unity in Diversity”, the exhibit was done in partnership with Lomography Philippines, the Intramuros Administration, Cavemandraws, and KRIS Library, a non-profit organization that aims to promote peace through education for the youth.
The LomoWall photo exhibition consists of 1,800 snapshots curated from among 501 submissions from the international Lomography community as well as community partners from across the Philippines.
Local snapshots feature scenes from the streets of Metro Manila, an Aeta community in Bataan, evacuation camps in Marawi, and indigenous groups in Zamboanga. For its photos, the exhibit also teamed up with Make A Difference (MAD) Travel, a social enterprise that creates authentic travel experiences in various locations with the help of marginalized communities.
WE ARE ONE will run from January 29 to February 29, 2020 at the Baluartillo de San Francisco Javier in Fort Santiago, Intramuros.
