Daydreamer’s Manifestation: Performance by Jevijoe Vitug
The Vargas Museum invites everyone to Daydreamer’s Manifestation, a storytelling and guided meditation performance by New York-based artist Jevijoe Vitug on December 6, 2019, Friday, 2 PM, at the 1F West Wing Video Room at the UP Vargas Museum.
In Daydreamer’s Manifestation, Vitug makes known and shares his yearning for an egalitarian society. The performance is motivated by Vitug’s experiences as a first-generation working-class immigrant of color and draws parallels with the life of acclaimed writer, migrant worker and labor activist Carlos Bulosan, author of America is in the Heart.
Vitug also invites the audiences to join him in daydreaming: participants will lie on mats painted by Vitug and will view paintings using 3D glasses.
Registration is required to participate in the performance and is limited to 20 individuals only.
